Wiscasset, ME<\/strong> \u2013<\/span> J. Edward Knight Insurance is pleased to announce a $600 donation to Wiscasset Partners In Education (PIE), a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Wiscasset school community. The donation was made possible through the company\u2019s employee \u201cdress down\u201d initiative, where staff members contribute funds in exchange for the opportunity to dress casually on designated days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wiscasset PIE, a 501(c)(3) organization comprised of parents, teachers, and community volunteers, plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for Wiscasset students. Their efforts include funding swimming lessons at the Community Center, organizing fundraising events, coordinating the Scholastic Book Fair, hosting community events like the Fall Festival and staff appreciation activities, and supporting the Set for Success program.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to support Wiscasset PIE and their impactful work within our community,\u201d said Trish Emmons, Office Supervisor at J. Edward Knight Insurance. \u201cOur employees are passionate about giving back, and this donation reflects their commitment to supporting local education and the well-being of Wiscasset students. Wiscasset PIE’s social media channels provide up-to-date information on their numerous events and initiatives. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month in the Wiscasset Elementary School library, and the public is encouraged to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n
